The Santa Barbara Zoo is a great place to host a company team-building event. Explore the grounds, get to know your colleagues and friends, and participate in a Keeper Relay game.
This activity is fun for birthday parties and family reunions too! It’s a great way to grow teamwork and communication skills while learning about the animals and conservation at the Zoo.
Keeper Relay
Every day, zookeepers are hard at work making sure the animals in their care are healthy.
By playing the Keeper Relay game, your team will participate in a relay race-style game and get a taste of what it’s like to be a keeper at the Santa Barbara Zoo. In addition to challenging themselves, participants will learn about animal care practices and the conservation work done in and outside of the Santa Barbara Zoo.
At the end of the game, enjoy an animal encounter and receive an “honorary zookeeper” certificate.
Keeper Relay is offered from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.

Group size: minimum 10 people
Duration: 90 minutes
Age requirement: 12+
