Help Kids go to the Zoo with ZOO4U!

Each year, there are many children, families, and school groups within our community who cannot afford to visit the Zoo. Resulting from a desire to better serve the community, the Santa Barbara Zoo's ZOO4U program was created. The program, funded mostly by grants from a few select foundations, provides free admission and train rides to the growing community of schools in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties who would not otherwise be able to afford a visit to the Zoo. Through continued collaboration with the program's generous donors, ZOO4U has social service organizations that support underserved children and families within our community. Children and families who would otherwise not be able to visit will be able to experience the Zoo and all of its wonders.

Because our income from admissions is so crucial to supporting the Zoo's operations, we can only continue to give children and families free admission if we have the support of friends like you. Giving to the ZOO4U program is an excellent way to help both the Zoo and children in your community.

What your donation pays for:

  • $8 pays for one child's admission and train ticket
  • $240 pays for one (average-size) class' admission and train tickets
  • $480 pays for two classes' admission and train tickets
  • $960 pays for four classes' admission and train tickets

For information on how you can help all children have a visit to the Zoo, please contact Stephanie Montenegro, Development Specialist by phone (805) 962-5339, ext. 23, or email Stephanie Montenegro. All donations are gratefully accepted and are tax deductible.
