Do you… ...have an interest in animals and the environment? Then the ZooTeen Program may be the place for you! ZooTeens create outstanding experiences that inspire people to change the world by supporting the Education Department’s Zoo Camp.
As a ZooTeen, you begin your first summer as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT). CITs act as aides to the Camp Counselors during summer, winter, and/or spring Zoo Camp sessions. They lead songs, play games, and assist young campers with their arts and crafts while ensuring their safety.
First year CITs must commit to volunteering at least six hours per day, Monday through Friday, for three weeks during the summer (the weeks do not have to be concurrent). Teens applying should:
