Name:  Bolivian grey titi Monkey

Range:
South America.

Habitat:
Densely-vegetated areas, including rainforest. Usually found in forests that border grasslands, streams or swamps.

Description:
Small monkey with round, flat head which is black or gray; sides of head may be white, yellow, or orange around ears. Fur is long and thick; tail is non-prehensile (cannot be used for gripping).

Adaptations/Habitat:
Adult male and female in the same family usually twine their tails when sitting together, whether awake or asleep. This reinforces the social bonds between pairs.

Diet:
As frugivores, titi monkeys eat mainly fruits, however they will also supplement their diet with leaves, other plant parts and arthropods such as spiders and millipedes.
