Family Overnights

When the sun goes down, the fun starts up at the Santa Barbara Zoo! Join us for a family overnight on July 6, July 27, or August 3, 2013! Registration form.

What will our family do?
Your adventure begins at 6:30 p.m. when you set up camp on a lawn next to the lion exhibit.  You are bound to make new friends as our instructors lead your group through a series of exciting, hands-on educational activities including up-close animal encounters and behind-the-scenes explorations.  An evening snack is also provided.

In the morning, you will enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast, another up-close animal encounter with one of our zookeepers, a train ride, and creating a special breakfast treat for one of our zoo animals.  Our program concludes at about 10:45 a.m., but you are welcome to explore the Zoo with your family on your own to see all of your favorite animals in the light of day!

Where will we sleep?

Under the stars near the Zoo's lion exhibit!

What do we need to bring?
Your family will need to bring your own tent, bedding, and a change of clothes.  We will provide breakfast and a late night snack.

How much is the program, and how do I sign up?

The cost for this program is $50 per person for SB Zoo members and $60 for non-members.  Children must be at least 5 years old to participate, and pre-registration is required.
