Masai Giraffes 

Giraffa camelopardalis


Average Lifespan: Up to 20 years.

Diet: In the wild, giraffes feed on the leaves of tall and thorny trees.


Geography: Africa, south of the Sahara desert.


Babies: Giraffes give birth to one baby at a time and are pregnant for 14-15 months. 


Conservation Status: Two subspecies are Critically Endangered, and other subspecies are now in steep decline.

 

Interesting Fact: Every giraffe has a unique coat pattern, kind of like our fingerprints!

Michael is 16 ft./2,000 lbs, Audrey is 12 ft./1,250 lbs, and Betty-Lou is 12 ft./1,050 lbs.
