Sponsor our newest giraffes, Dane and Sunshine, and the rest of the herd!

Give a rousing welcome to our two new giraffe calves by becoming a Foster Feeder of the Masai giraffes today.  If you sign up any time before September 1, you will receive the benefits of a Select Foster Feeder including two adorable baby giraffe plush toys.  Now through September 1, 2013, you can sponsor the giraffe herd for a special rate of $50. The Zoo is excited to welcome Dane & Sunshine to our animal collection.  Both were born here at the Zoo in April of this year; Dane's mom is Audrey and Sunshine's is Betty Lou! 

Masai giraffes live in the savannas of Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia and Tanzania, where they enjoy eating leaves and buds of acacia, mimosa, and wild apricot trees out of reach for other animals.  Here at the Zoo, they eat many things including hay, alfalfa, and lettuce fed to them by Zoo guests.

Foster Feeder packages make great gifts, or you can treat yourself. All the funds received from the Foster Feeder program go straight to our animal food bill.  Your support is much appreciated!
